Note Battle

Purpose: Scroll-hit stave practice using the same calibrated chanter profile as Note Blaster. Best with electronic line-in/USB; analog works after calibration. A laptop room mic is unreliable. (Formerly Bagpipe Battle; /battle redirects here.)

Before you play

1. Calibrate in Manage Chanters.
2. Verify in Chanter Test.
3. Pick Note Battle from Games or open it directly.

Steps

1. Open Note Battle and choose a song, speed, and difficulty.
2. Play notes as they enter the green hit zone; watch the live pitch indicator.
3. Compare scores across runs; rematch to improve.

Tips

• Confirm detection in Chanter Test before competitive play.
• If playing locally with others, use similar digital inputs for fair results.

Troubleshooting

• Input delay: close other audio apps; lower CPU load.
• Unfair or wrong hits: re-check Manage Chanters + Chanter Test — don’t skip verification.
