Chanter Test

Purpose: Confirm the app hears your chanter profile correctly against the active calibration. Prefer line-in/USB. Required once after each calibration change before pitch games unlock.

Steps

1. Open Chanter Test.
2. Select the chanter profile you just set up (and its line-in / USB microphone).
3. Start listening; play a few notes and confirm detection matches.
4. Tap Confirm calibration & continue — you’ll go to Games (or back to the game you came from).

Tips

• Wrong input is the usual failure — pick your chanter’s line-in/USB device, not Built-in Microphone.
• If notes misread after a gear change, recalibrate in Manage Chanters, then Test again.

Troubleshooting

• No detection: browser mic permissions and input device selection.
• Frequent misreads: lower input gain; re-check the active profile frequencies.
