Manage Chanters
Purpose: Create and maintain your active chanter profile so Note Blaster
and Note Battle match your note frequencies. Prefer electronic line-in or USB;
analog works after custom calibration. A laptop room mic is unreliable.
Steps
-
Open Manage Chanters and select your
chanter’s line-in / USB input (not the laptop mic).
-
Add Digital Chanter for a known model (loads starting frequencies,
then Chanter Test) — or Add Custom to name a profile and measure notes
yourself.
-
If custom / refining: calibrate notes, save frequencies, then go to Chanter Test.
-
In Chanter Test, confirm the profile and
microphone once before games.
Tips
- Most people only need one active profile — switch only when you change gear.
- Prefer a clean line-in/USB signal; lower gain if the level meter clips often.
-
Full loop:
Calibrate → test → play.
Troubleshooting
- No detection: browser mic permission + correct input device in Manage Chanters / Test.
- Wrong notes: re-calibrate slowly, or start from a model preset then tweak.
